'Mantis Wire', I was about to order until you said that, I don't know that I could apply such a term to any of my precious rigs. ;)

Whatcha got for coax? Let me measure my S-vid cable now.

Also, what is #12, an rca pair?

    Cheers,

Well, I could use up to 5 coax cables, 1 or 2 need to be 6ft.

How about pairs (on the cheap) of analog rca cables? The garage rig and guest room rig could use an upgrade. I'm a die-hard signal cable fan, so I'm looking for $20/pair or so, otherwise, I'll go with what I know works, and works well.

    Cheers,
    Rooster

Cmon guys, here's the discount Monster sale you have been looking for. I know *some* of you are running generic video cables, man up.

From what I hear that Mantis wire will really wake up your system. It has been professionally burned in and nothing else compares...

let me know exactly what you need and I'll put a package together for yeah.
    I don't have 5 digital coax cables,but I do have a 6 footer you need in Monstercable.
Your looking for digital coax correct?Or do you want coax as in rg6?

Mantis - fix me up with some wire for my front end. I'll use whatever you recommend and send me. I have one pretty short run on the left and one 8 foot run on the right.

You've got mail. I won't horn in on anyone else's buy. If you have bi-wire you think will go well with my speaks and AVR, then we can talk more. I'm willing to give wire a try and see if it really improves the sound. Thanks.

Sorry, missed this before I posted in the other section looking for an update.

Well, I've got a pretty decent ear for detail and I'll keep an open mind about whatever benefits high end wire can bring to my front end. I'll be honest in my assessment. If it sounds really better, I'll admit it. If I can't hear diddly of a difference, I'll admit that too. It can't hurt to try, and I know Dan will give me a killer deal on the stuff (right Dan?).

    Hey Mantis,
This is off on a bit of a related tangent, but are you still going with the heros? I just ordered one and was wondering how you like yours so far. I know you tried them out. I will be replacing a Monster 950 between my source and preamp. Do you think the change will be obvious?

    Thanks for the time

Dan and I have exchanged private emails, and I am waiting to see if another member decides to bite on the bi-wire stuff. If not, I'm next in line.

If the bi-wire goes to another, then Dan has graciously offered to make up some substitute stuff.

We're currently in a holding pattern until the bi-wire is resolved. No hurry on my end. Dan's been great so far.

    Doc,
    you got mail...There yours Doc.

    stevew14,
950i's from monstercable are good quality cables.I know I own pairs of them.
YES Kimber I own and Hero is the name. They are an amasing sounding cable.I couldn't believe how good they are.I wasn't ready for that....I picked them up due to all the hype and I have been dying to give Kimber a home demo.I'm cleaning out all my current wires as you can see by this thead.I have more wire but I'm holding on to some of my wire untill I'm fully KimberKable.
I have been intrugued to give the silver streaks a run.I have a co worker who uses them in his high end 2 channel system and he said there amazing.I told him about the Hero's and he said that alot of his friends picked them up and where blown away,he is now going to give them a run......He also said the PPj's are really good.
Speaker wire I'm going to use 8tc/8tc bi wires....effin killer expensive but it's worth it.......

As Russ pointed out awhile ago,Kimber is my flavor of the month....they sound like the flavor of the year or so.....

I like the spades for the speaker end - nice. Definitely need plugs for the AVR end.
