Ok got the polk newsletter via e-mail saying they were running a promo free sub psw202 with the 499 and up speaker purchase, well i went to CC and turned some speakers in and paid the difference and got the psw202, 10" sub, i have wanted a new sub for ever. Not my first choice as i had the 12" sub from jbl but it really sounds good. Not as deep as my JBL but its less power and woofer. It will work fine for my small room for now and for free sure i like it.... I wonder what another one would do, dual psw202's?? any suggestions, they sell on e-bay new for $120.00 all day long, sell at Circuit city for 199.99 and retail for $239.00
does even better with music though.. Nice and not 6 years old, i just really wanted a up to date sub and a polk, the PSW is a good starting point into polk subs.

At my store, we let people pay the difference for an upgraded Polk sub, so instead of having 2 PSW202's you could just get one PSW404. I think that would sound a lot better. Check it out, maybe CC will do the same!

Well heres the scoop, I have a pair of black Rti70's, Circuit city is closeing out all the cherry speakers on the cc website, I got my 70's on sale 40 less than regular price so i was able to upgrade to the same speaker being i would have to pay 40 bucks when i got the cherry ones i really wanted. Loaded them up in the car and when i got there the cherry ones sold out, I also knew about the sub offer at this point, so i said can i just get a new pair of RTI70's pay the difference and get the free sub, They said yes as when you upgrade they give the full amount back to you via a customer gift card, I took it back to home audio told em i wanted the RTI70's and the new free sub, paid 42 bucks and left home with a renewed pair of RTI70's and a PSW202, simple as that... I spoke with the manager with my idea before heading there incase they tried to give me a hard time as i have purchased several speakers and items from there and they don't really care as long as they make "more money" from any one sale...

I recently purchased a PSW650 along with a pair of Open Box RT55's.

After Polk announced the sub promo I was tempted to do an exchange/upgrade, but after hearing the PSW202 in CC I quickly changed my mind. I recently rented "We Were Soldiers" and was completely blown away by my 650.

Now, if you can get the $200 credit towards the 303... I highly recommend going that path. The 303's crisper and the new slot load venting is very impressive!

    Just my humble opinion...

Well for a free sub its fine, Like i said not my first choice. and going from a 650 to a 202 is hardly a fair test as they are in total different leagues.... 202 is entry at best and the 650 is pretty much tops in its class of polks. i wanted new and current for a sub and the freebie was a good way to try out a polk. Unfortunatly CC won't give credit for a free sub or i would most definatly upgrade and upgrade like i have done over the last year with my setup i have now to get what i want. I will just save and buy a large sub from a online dealer i have used that has great prices and owes me a discount that they promised me from a mistake they made on my first order. So just thought i would tell you all what new i had, and i just sold my JBL sub and good luck to the new owner as i know it wil serve them well like it has for me over the past years... Thanks

    Sorry faster,

I forgot to include in my earlier post "I know I'm not comparing apples-to-apples here..."

One can't possibly expect the 202 to perform anywhere near the 650. The problem is it doesn't even come close to the performance of the 303.

FYI, Crutchfield.com is offering the $200 credit online. Since that's where I made my purchase, I'm gonna take full advantage of their liberal return policy. I'm gonna upgrade to the Rti70 and the PSW303... It'll be tough to let go the 650, but $-4-$ it's a better deal.

Does anyone now how this offer works in Canada? Is it $499 US funds exchanged to Canadian or is it just $499 Canadian? I called future shop and they haven't heard of the offer and they're an authorized dealer.

I am not sure about Canada, here in the Us its spend $499.00 and/or up and receive a free psw202 sub, I received a flyer in my e-mail from polk about this so you would need to check their list of auth. dealers and make sure they are indeed one of them and that they make this offer in canada. Good Luck

In Canada it is $799 and up to get the free sub. At Future Shop I saw this as well as at The Brick. I'm in London, Ontario which is where I saw this promo.
