    She's a looker for sure....

    http://hifiheaven.net/shop/Pre-Owned/VAC-Avatar-Switchable-Ultralinear-Triode-Vacuum-Tube-Integrated-Amp-Used

They have a good list of pre-owned and demo gear, some nice Rogue pieces also. Cruise their pages.

The Vac I linked to, is a nice one box solution with a pretty darn good phono stage, good power, and of course, that Vac sound....for 2k gents, this is a steal of a deal right here.

    Bob Wagner....Kerry, take a look.

"Many folks do not know this, but VAC also made all those great Marantz reissue tube units. That's right! All those reissue Marantz 8B amplifiers were actually made right here in the good ol' U. S. of A. by VAC. "

While I tend to drive people away from the M120, that is an appealing price for them. I still think one would be better served by a SS amp of the same caliber, but I could understand someone jumping on those.

Not yet. But it's certainly on the list. Looks to be a solid upgrade. New caps and other voodoo.
Mike rolled a new octet of 6550 drivers in them. Said it brought more definition to the bass and mids. Don't remember the manufacturer off hand.

Ship them this way and I will make some upgrades for you just for the cost of parts. No joke.

Price seems way up there. But if they are immaculate and walnut. Maybe that’s the new going rate? They guy I got my pair from was asking $1500 and I just happened to see his ad when he cut that price in half. Plus they were in my city of 35,000 ,Maplewood. Peace. Dm70uh8vglcg0.png

Those are 1st generation SDA SRS's, not 1.2's, because they have the blade/blade IC socket.

How did you determine that? I mean since no picture show a clear cable end or interconnect connection.

Since the interconnect connection is located in the cup by the speaker wire terminals I would have to say these are 1.2's. The SRS blade/blade interconnect connection isn't located there.

    Quack, quack... They are 1.2's.

The serial numbers are less than 5001. The IC socket location is the same for all 3 generations AFAIK. 1st gen SRS....quack, quack

What gives you the impression that they are 1.2's? The seller doesn't state that in their ad.

This is about all we can say on these. The other pictures do not provide enough info to determine 1.2 or original.
