Pins or bare wire?

Unfortunately, most of my speaker connections are the spring-clip type. I am using 14G speaker wire inserted into the spring-clips. Would there be any benefit to using pin connectors instead of bare wire other than the obvious (stray wire to short, neatness, etc.)?

Neatness could be a factor, bare wire will probably be your best option.... however, properly terminated pins (solder/heatshrink) will lock out additional humidity and O2.

I too am a fan of bare wire. I don't see the need for an extra connection.

Pins are designed for spring clips.Neat and clean is what you gain.I perfer terminated. If you need to move your stuff its nice to be there. No stripping the wire again.

    EVERY EXTRA CONNECTION HAS RESISTANCE
RESISTANCE = POWER LOSS = BAD SOUND QUALITY

    OK,
but it makes it easier to reconnect, not to mention keeping out 02.

I'll go along with Dan, neatness and it's a lot less hassle.
