I need to let go of two of my processors. Now, the 989 is integrated with a real 130WPC and the Sunfire is simply a pre-processor with balanced and unbalanced outputs, seperate amplification required.

Both units are in good shape. The 989 I would rate 7.5-8.5 with only minor imperfections. The Sunfire has some scratches on top and I would call it a 6.5-7; I recently spent 235.00 a few months ago to have it completely gone through at Sunfire in WA State. It came back with a new remote that still has the plastic on the touchscreen. The 989 has the newer TXNR-901 remote that functions perfectly.

I did an A-B comparison playing them through a Cinema Grand Signature Amp and although I prefer the Onkyo for function, the Sunfire beats it for sound quality IMO.

I will take some pics if somone is "SERIOUSLY" interested. These units are as I describe and you won't be dissapointed in either of them. I am selling these cheap becasue I just have too much gear sitting around. You can go check these prices, I don't believe you would find them for less.

I will give them a day or two here, so if you know of someone that might be interested in one of these let them know, because I will sell them fast on the bay or agon for these prices.

I have original boxes and manuals for both, the Onkyo foam is less than steller but rest assured it will be double boxed for safe arrival. I would prefer a money order but I can do paypal for 3%. Shipping will be FedEx Ground with Insurance and Tracking.

If anyone is wondering, I bought a Krell Showcase to replace these. I was thinking about selling the TGII and the Cinema Grand Sig as a pair but I will hang onto the Amp for now because it ROCKS....lol

Thanks for reading and pm me or email at brad@elportalcalifornia.org

BTW there is alot of info on the web about both of these, so please look there for info or reviews about them.

UPDATE: Sunfire is finding a new home with Skynut. *****SOLD*****

UPDATE 03/10 7:46am pacific time: The listing on Ebay was just bid on. I will have to let that run it's course.

Thanks,

Brad

dammit. If that sunfire had 3 comp vids in with more bandwidth, I would've put claims on it. I need 3 in and need >50htz bandwidth for HD passthrough. Yes I know 30 should be enough but I don't want to take chances. Man that's upsetting.

If you can't post pics, regardless of someone being "SERIOUSLY" interested, you must not be that interested in selling it.

I think it's a couple great pieces, at decent prices, but are you that lazy? You've been around SN, post this FM thread like it should be man.

Wow, the Sunfire stuff just looks stellar. The aluminum looks amazing, then the displays are mesmerizing...lol

 You do have a lot of gear in that one room! Bet that's a fun room! :D You have a B&K HT setup? Just out of curiousity, what is that silver amp with the blue backlit displays in the second pic?

    Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the nice compliments everyone. The unit in the back is my new processor; a Krell Showcase. Pretty much entry level Krell but really nice sound. It has a great pre-amp mode that shuts off all the video stuff.

BTW Amulford the Cinema Grand may be for sale at some point but not yet. I had been using it to drive the mains for the last several months till I picked up the Mac's but for now it's running the center and maybe at some point I will put it to the surrounds too. I used it in a Bi-amp configuration with 4 of the five channels feeding my 802's and it was very nice, but the macs are definately an improvement.

Here's my system in it's current state.

Just to clear it up the price would be 750 shipped for one or the other. This is only valid until a bid has been placed on either of them on Ebay. I offered them here first and then they went to Ebay.

BTW Audiobliss, the amp you asked about is a MC2300 running the high freq. and the one next to it is an mc2500 for the low freq.

After re-reading your question I realized that was what you were refering to.
I am so stoked on the new processor I immediately thought you were asking about it.....lol

Haha, I can understand that excitement, for sure. Now that I've looked at that third pic again, I can see the Krell preamp in the background. Krell's stuff looks nice, too.

I've never seen McIntosh gear that looked like that. Those amps are just beautiful. I'm tempted to say they look better than the Sunfire gear.

A friend of mine in a band said they looked like PA gear. I believe that the "The Grateful Dead" played exclusively through the MC2300's; I have read that somewhere.

I was talking to Frank Gow at Audio Classics and he was telling me that the new stuff is so mush better. In one of their listening rooms they have a pair of MC2K's driving a pair of 802's and he said they were simply amazing sounding. I have to sell some more gear to afford those at 20K a pop.

My friend had an MC2300 that supposedly came from the Grateful Dead.
It would heat the room just playing at low levels.
He sold it on Ebay and the guy who endded up buying it called first to confirmed the jumpers on the rear were configured the same way as GD used them.
It may all be b.s. but the guy who called bought it with a snipe bid that jumped the price by a couple of hundred dollars.

    So the Sunfire is sold.

    To me.

I went and picked it up last night and I can not wait to get it hooked up.
I have other projects going right now but by the end of the weekend we will be watching movies and listening to the new processor.

Brad was a great person to talk to and our deal went fine.
It was like a drug deal in the parking lot of the home depot, we stood around for almost an hour just talking home theater.

I can't wait to hear this monster.
