Hard shielding - have you done it?

From my email exchanges with Polk, I would define "soft shielding" as bucking mags only, and "hard shielding" as bucking mags plus metal cups.

Has anyone ever hard-shielded individual drivers??

I've attached bucking mags, which helps, but isn't perfect. I want to build a center channel speaker but I can't get the placement I want unless I can shield better. I played around with attaching metal cups a few years ago, but couldn't decide what to use.. food cans? Find other metal bowls of some sort?? The metal cup shouldn't touch the metal speaker frame, correct? Shouldn't actually touch the magnets, either, correct? Would lining the cabinet (or part of it) with metal help at all?

The drivers in question are two 6.5" drivers and an SL2000.
