The main reason I was suggesting going thru SD as opposed to Online, was warranty issues. I would think it would be a lot easier to get warranty issues straightened out if you bought thru an authorized dealers and could deal with the manufacturer.

That's a good point. I'd highly recommend a warranty on something like an amp. That's why I paid ~$25 more for my amp through SoundDomain instead of the Zeb. It's worth it to me to have great customer service and a warranty.

    Amen brother!

Im skeered enogh as is to order online. I dont think I could ever bring myself to order from an unauthorized site.

I doubt Ill be ordering anything else big online for a while anyway. Tweeter carries the MM2104 for like $115 and Sounddomain has it for $100. Ill pay the $15 extra to not have to wait.

After that, Ill have the system Im gonna compete with and Ill keep it for a good while.

Ill probably order some high end Streetwires RCA's online tho.

Those were the days huh? All of us on here all the time talking about every little thing we discovered with our systems that day. Josh and Thom hanging out with us too. Now theyre gone along with most of the Polk car audio line. But at least theyve got a heart in their logo

Car audio is something Ive been into since I was 16 and now not so much. Hell Ive even pretty much retired from competing. Think its more having the kid thats changed things. Id rather stay home and spend time with him while he's growing up and spend money on stuff for the house and all that jazz.

I cant walk away completely though. I still have Club Polk on my bookmark bar and check in a couple times a week. Doubt Ill ever be done with it completely and once my little boy gets a little older and doesnt want to have anything to do with me, Ill probably jump back in it.

Yea, I keep wanting to put some time back into my truck and get it sounding like I want it to again, but I just don't have the time...and I don't even have kids yet!

    Skip, I concur.

I sold off my car sub and amp before the kid arrived to make space for the stroller. Then my front 6.5 blew so I took the one from my rears and put it up there and left my rears disconnected.

I went and got a new HU that has all kinds of tuning options, but am far to lazy to mess with them.

So mostly its just plug in the iPhone turn on Pandora or whatever is in my library and just relax.

ya! I have had a bad experience with renewing a warranty. No one ever came up.. :( Shouldnt be the same for buying stuff. But always a site someone else has used and purchased from. That way you are sure to get it. Congrats by the way!!
