Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Now that is fantastic, kudos to Toyota, and the guy who drove this truck helping others. Can't buy that kind of advertising, nor when corporations step up like that.

Plus, when thing return to normal, you can tow your Space Shuttle with a Tundra (not recommended with a Taco, though).

Truly a great hero, as he took a great risk in performing such an act.

I can say, apart from the obvious of his truck burning up, but perhaps maybe unbeknowst to him, but there are a lot of electronics down near the rocker panels, including seat belt pre-tensioners (contained explosive charges intended to assist in constraining an occupant during a collision), as well as other circuitry and sensors designed to control airbag deployment.

The thought of the electrical insulation melting, sensors frying, and subsequent short circuits - spontaneous deployment comes to mind!

We normally validate these subsystems to high temps, but not that extreme!

    Well done sir!

A well built truck owned by a better built person. A true hero indeed.

These fires are no joke either.

Kind of reminds me of the famous Marantz "fire" advertisement of the 1970s -- only in terms of your last comment ('bout the truck).
