Star Wars SOLO

After really not liking The Last Jedi I didn't go see Solo in the Theaters. I regret not seeing it as I have seen all Star Wars Movies in the theater first time around.
But despite all that I decided to pick it up at Best Buy on 4k and just finished watching it.

IT WAS AWESOME!!! That was in my opinion the best Star Wars movie out of all the new ones. Rouge One was really good as well but I really took to this movie. When Han died in the last Star Wars movie I hated that they killed him off. I'd rather have seen him fly off in the falcon or something else. But the new actor who plays Han was really good. I was shocked how good he did. Harrison Ford was totally amazing playing Han and had me as a kid till now one of my very favorite characters in the Star Wars movies. The new guy I think makes me want another Solo Movie. I'd love to see how he works for Jabba as I think that would make for a great movie.

Bring on Obi One , Bring on Fett, I'm good for whatever comes next.
Dan

  • These one off Star Wars stories are great back fills of the original trilogy. And they fill in some of blanks of the new ones. Even the small things (Chewy playing chess or whatever its called) give these movies a connection with the whole story line.

I really enjoyed it as well. Not sure why it kinda tanked, but thought it was better than The Force Awakens.

I'm one of those people who actually loved Phantom Menace. It's a different style of movie then the way that movie went. BUT it has a very Star Wars feel, very good story and I'd say it's probably better then the Phantom Menace in ways.

Thanks. This must be on the disk vendor Amazon has a dispute with. So Amazon doesn’t get those movies for a month or so after it is out.

Lol... funny you should say that. He had a tour guide at Universal fired from his job and removed from the lot when he was filming Apollo 13. He and one of the actors ( I think it was Bill Paxton) were riding from one of the bungalows to a soundstage in a golf cart. The guide happened to speak of a small creek that runs through a part of the lower lot and spoke to his tour about "the Andy Griffeth show" was filmed in that same area...

About that time, Howard and Paxton rolled by in the cart, and the guide said something to the effect of "look, there goes Opie now!" Howard and Paxton waived to the tram flashing an irritated smile, and the guide was pulled from the tram before the end of the tour.

I was on the lot when it went down. I did not witness it personally, but heard from multiple people, including from the telecom department that I was attached to, and from HR contacts in the "Black Tower." I did cell-phones and mobile communications for most of the studios from 1991 through 2002.

I knew everyone who was even casually famous, all the way up to the major players during those years...
