MagniFi Soundbar volume increases when TV powers down?

I have my Magnifi Soundbar connected via optical cable to my Insignia Roku TV. When I power down the TV, there's a brief moment (2-3 seconds) where the sound is still on and the soundbar volume increases (as though I hit the volume up button on the Polk remote 3 or 4 times). Once the TV is offThe (Roku) TV remote has not been programmed to control the soundbar at all (haven't even looked into the possibility).
Anyone else have issues with the soundbar increasing volume on its own like this?
