Haha, "San Crapcisco" - never heard that one.

But take it from someone who has lived in the SF bay area for the past 13 years, you don't want to come here. Whether it be to visit or live. Just stay away. Trust me.
    Got Dayens?

You can't win with these people. If you replace plastic straws with paper ones, the tree huggers will complain. Unless there is an obvious problem that we can control, best to ignore the knuckleheads.

Just to get this to audio for a minute -- :) there's a time honored trick used to tune bass reflex ports using bunches of -- you guessed it -- straws. A fistful of straws, cut to (various) lengths can be used as a quick and dirty way to test alternative tunings
for a Helmholz resonator (ahem, bass reflex cabinet) :)

    Srsly.

    https://www.whathifi.com/forum/hi-fi/straws-in-bass-port

there may be other reasons to do it, too.

    https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/straws-in-ports

and, of course, Jon Risch says there're better ways to approach these issues than straws -- but, then again, he would ;)

It will include shipping but not responsible if they are confiscated at the border.
Also not responsible for any legal fee's incurred if you get arrested with such straws B)

And of all that the U.S. is responsible for, less than .5 percent comes from straws.

    I’ll bid at $15.
This whole straw thing is crazy. We were in Montana on vacation this week, and when I got my drink I asked for a straw. I was told no.
Not Tom, or Trey, or Jim
    NAD C352
Monitor Audio Radius R90’s/Mission Freedom 770 IV
BJC speaker cables, generic RCA’s, one homemade power cable, because that’s going to do any good with the rest of the generic ones.
Technics SL3200 turntable and a Shure M97xE phono cartridge
    Velodyne VA-907 subwoofer
Lafayette LR-1100 acting as a tuner and phono.
I've always thought the goal of high end audio was not to have your neighbors bang on the wall and say, 'Turn that darn music down' but to have your neighbors bang on the wall and say, 'Tell your friends to go home and you can practice later this week'.
