Finally, coming down the homestretch

Options
It's been a journey. I think I've been talking about finishing my basement for at least a decade. I got half of it finished - a workout area - about 3 to 4 years ago. I finally got motivated to get the other side finished. I still need a ceiling and have some detail work to do, but I've got a chair to sit in and some stuff to listen to and a TV to watch!

What's all that stuff around your system and spread throughout your basement?

I can't seem to find any of that around my systems and cave for many years now. :(
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

YUP. I used to have voids in my cave.

A long time ago. My avatar shows SOME space was had 10 years ago I guess.

I would like to have a room that looks like that basement for my projection system and HT chairs. And I have REAL Theater chairs too. 4 of them. The movie studio used them in a scene from a Dawson's Creek episode. They are cool looking with old-school wooden armrests with modern upholstery too. The upholstery would match his carpet GREAT!

I like how the vintage Polks can be flat up against the back wall and not toed in. It's interesting to me because it's the opposite of what you always see in the "pro listening room" setups.

Two foot square carpet tiles, multi-color in a sealed package, so it's kind of like a box of chocolates...

I think I'm expected to provide more seating, but I'm not necessarily motivated to do so!

Naa if they get too comfortable they will want to stay it'll fluc up the whole sound molecule pathway to your ears.
Seating for more than one is so highly overated. >:)
Great looking room. I'd definitely get some sound diffusion going on that ceiling do not want any goodness escaping and turn every other carpet square 90* to break up standing waves :p

Yes, some treatments will likely come in time. You saw the part about me taking 10 years to get this far, right? Lol!
