And AVR biamping will not improve headroom

What about moving the seat back and tilting the steering-wheel up?

At 6’3” I prefer legroom to headroom.

"And yet at the end of that video they are saying the same thing many here have said over and over and over......."

He frames that in best case scenario terms when the passives are near perfection and power is derived from "2kw monos." In statistics, those conditions would be called an outlier, thus irrelevant for purposes of general analysis.

Guess you missed the part where he specifically said on larger top of the line receivers like the Denon because of their larger more robust power supply it makes sense. BUT on all the other lower value receivers it don't make sense to do it because of their power supplies are not as powerful. He then went on to say manufacturers are stuffing more channels on board and not making better power supplies to accommodate these channels.

Guys it's time to let this go, all you are doing is going around in endless circles and getting nowhere!

You aren't going to convince him and he isn't going to convince you. If his friend ends up blowing one of his tweeters or his receiver, that will be on him.

Some people simply have to learn the hard way. This is one of those cases.

    Let's move on.

I mentioned that already. It wouldn't apply to this situation anyway since he most likely would not compare the power supplies in underpowered avrs to those found in outboard amps.

The responses from others were that the opposite is true -- that keeping the volume where he currently has it and a little bit higher is perfectly fine.

Just make sure your co-worker doesn't hit the pause button on the CD player and crank up the volume just to see where it ends. He seems like the type of guy who would try something like that, and I've learned here that that's a dangerous thing to do.
