For a medium sized room with back of speakers close to the wall. Looking for a new pair for stereo listening. Listen to classic rock with a Denon receiver.

Please give your pick! Currently have a old time pair of monitor 5jrs that I bought new many decades ago.

If 2 channel or HT the S60s should be right up your ally, unless you happen to catch the LSIMs on sale again.

If you can find a pair. Very rare speakers. I had mine hooked up to an Integra and the sound was a little bright. When I switched to a 40lb. reg. Onkyo beast, the bass came alive and the sound is NOW balanced tone wise. YES, they are beautiful sounding speakers !

I got VERY lucky getting my pr. by spotting a corner of an LS speaker in a yard sale ad photo. I didn't know what model it was but I was the first one there. I'd heard any LS speaker pr. is a good pr. .

It was a corner of an LS90. I bought the LS90 (oak) pr. plus a CS350 (black) to match them. 150.00 total. :p
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Outstanding deal here. Be very careful when shipping them as the packing material Polk includes with them is subpar at best. Local p/u makes the most sense.

Indeed. I should really take the time to read the OP more closely. That said, i havent heard the sig series yet. Owned 703s for a while and they were nice. Could possibly find 705s for around 1k if patient.

If Mike is in Austin TX & Skip is in Dallas, meet in Waco and make and the deal happen!

Mike, Skip arranged for me to get my S60s this past February. They are my first pair of new speakers in 27 years going from Polk's RTA-8Ts. Plenty of the terrific Polk sound and lots of it. You can read my review and see pics of them here.
