It will need to be translated but this will be a top contender for most anyone looking at tube integrateds. I cannot wait to get my hands on one.

    Auto bias?

    Tom
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to good analogue reproduction.

Parallel SE... I'm guessing cathode bias -- but it's a SWAG (at best).

"It's like watching a roomful of people who couldn't get through college algebra discussing the flaws of quantum physics theory. I guess it could be fun, but it's ultimately a waste of time." -- seen on audiokarma

"Some amps run on self bias, some amps run on fixed bias. But his amps run on confirmation bias." -- seen on audioasylum

"Writing about hifi is like dancing about architecture" -- paraphrasing some wag (possibly Frank Zappa)

Wow man, that looks like a nice piece!

One day I tell you....I'm going to get a budget rig together even though here recently this hobby has taken a back seat to other things. My rig has regressed... :( Still, the plan is to build a DIY set of speakers because I like to get my hands dirty. The Dennis Murphy and Paul Kittinger ER18MTM towers are high on the list.

Then, I've been looking hard at the Vincent Audio SV 237MK. Then, I heard that Shengya makes equipment for Vincent and I've been considering one of their branded integrated units:

    http://www.china-hifi-audio.com/en/shengya-cd-player-amplifier-c-12

    Vincent SV 237MK - $2499.95

    Shengya A-206GS - $1478

    Shengya A10CSII Hybrid - $744.68

So, I like many will be waiting for feedback on that Mastersound unit.

What has consistently won me over on all MastersounD units is their transformers. These amps are dead quiet - not only is there zero hum, but there is also zero noise in the way to clog up the stereophonic presentation. What blows me away here is the power for the $$$. For the price of a good push-pull integrated, you can get similar power AND the single ended magic.

I got an EL34 based integrated a couple of years ago, you will love it.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Funny how we were just talking about a tubed integrate with pre-outs in PM's a week or so ago. Here she potentially is.
The icing on the cake would be a remote...wishful thinking.

The Evolution 845 simply rocked the Tekton Double Impact SE. Now the BoX rocks the Double Impact:

Says it is in the link Skip put up, which is a big plus....but, it needs a remote to be a complete package in my view. Looks sweet and for 1500 bones, a steal. The Euro and dollar are about even so the price tag should be roughly the same.

I think it does have remote and a price tag around $3,000.

The US version has some upgrades done (including remote) to the initial release unit that was 1500 Euros. As far as exchange, you can't factor it directly as it isn't a true reflection of the cost to import, nor is the exchange rate a direct reflection of conversion costs. The US version is $3,000.

For instance, the Parasound Halo integrated is $2,500 here in the US. In Europe, its around $5,000.
