I wasn't going to post about this, but it irks me that this magnet calamity seems to be a universal issue.... Tweets included.
I was simply moving these 5jr off the shop bench last week to make room for some other work and I hear an unfamiliar rattle....
Well at least I know how the SL5000 is designed. From what I can see, it looks like some brownish type coil/post lubricant seeped between magnet and front faceplate over time.

I just checked my CRS's spare tweeter and it looks like I can make it fit after trimming on lathe...
