I purchased this in January of this year to mate with my PSB Stratus Golds, but have since sold those speakers. Amazing amp with lots of great reviews. I have different speakers on the way, so I'll need a different amp to pair with them.



$1,200 and I'll split shipping and paypal fee if applicable. CONUS only please. Will be packed bomb-proof for shipping.

    There is one of these for sale on my local Craigslist. Hardly ever see for sale and here are 2 at once.


    2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

    Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

    Just an FYI, the Parasound A21 is more on par with the Krell. I don't know which would be the heavier hitter.

    IMO Parasound sounds more musical, airy, while the Kell is more crisp and clinical, but not harsh. Both have amazing detail, and as @mhardy6647 (or the other person I get him confused with) always says, its about synergy with your system. I've heard some things sound amazing with Krell and some don't mesh well. The same can be said for Parasound, and even McIntosh. Polks have done well with both.

    @pkquat gave a very good overview. This brought out crazy detail on my big PSB's and separation of instruments during heavy passages gave me the chills. Complete command over the speakers.

    But then yesterday a pair of speaks I have been lusting over for some time came available to me.

    You"re trying to get me killed brother! Can"t get another amp until the Parasound is gone. She has gotten wise and knows what equipment i have now. No more sliding a piece in here and there and the "what? That old thing" game.

    Ill be moving the SRS 2 out and into the guest room for storage tomorrow.

    According to Krell this amp was serviced and performance tested in 2011.

    If anyone else needs a rave review to take the jump, I have the 250a/3 and in the short time it ran my old LSI15 setup it took the speakers to a level I didn't know they could get to. Now that it's running my Tritons, it's even better. Built like a tank and sounds amazing.

    I also have one and simple love it! If I had the money I'd buy it myself and use it to biamp my ADS L1590 in the low end to match the one I currently use for the mids and high's, replacing the parasound hca1500a used on the bass drivers. Really pisses me off that I can't afford right now! (Take payments? AND A 1500A????, LOL) An absolute great amp!

    I understand this is a very limited audience, and there is a lot of nice gear for sale on the forum right now. I just haven't had the chance to pull it out, take proper pictures and list it on other sites.

    That said, please remember I am very open to trades. At this point, I would potentially be open to any sort of combination of tubed preamp, tubed amp, tubed integrated, high-end turntable, hugs, electrical work :)
