Actually, I consider it a flaw, but obviously Apple doesn't. I got tired of calls going to voice mail after three rings so I tried to increase the number of rings before that happens. After going through every setting I can find, and not seeing squat, I Googled how to do it. Turns out I have to call the carrier (ATT) and they will change it. LOL. That is one of the stupidest things I have heard of, but I guess there is a technical reason for it.

Yes, I realize that now Ken. I really hadn't thought about it until I tried to change it. I found a hack online, but it doesn't work on this phone. I am surprised there isn't a simple way to do it.

LOL. I love all your computer stories, and playing around like you just described. My job is writing software to test network hardware and software. At work I have to deal with Windows, Linux, and VMware ESXi. At home I avoid this stuff as best I can.

I have them turn off all voice mail on my phone. Kind of redundant with texts... no?

My phone rings 12 times before they get....
The person you have reached has not set up any voice mail account..... goodbye.

Heck the younger generation refuses to even make a phone call. I will not entertain any texting with my kids for the most part they text i reply call me.... end of the conversation right there.

How about VMS, VI, EMac... Or DSM? Confluence? Mongo? Splunk? Jira?

Yes, a lot of that is tangential. Probably why I am sick of it when I am home. Then there are the programming languages. Now it is mostly Python and Bash, but has been TCL, C, and C++. Yeech.

Dude. I rarely even use a class since I believe "Simplicity succeeds. Complexity fails." Classes/objects have their place, but, for what I do, functional programming works best. Anyway, as I said, I leave this stuff at work, and definitely not worth thinking about on an audio forum.

That is one of my biggest irritants. Having to listen to somebody else's music drives me crazy. Especially when I am inside with the doors and windows closed. However, Nicki Minaj is my new favorite rapper. As long as I hear her from my stereo, and not the house across the street. :)

My biggest pet pev. Sitting in my truck listening to the highly distorted crap coming from like 5 cars front or back and feeling my guts rattle from the super bass.
Oh and hearing every rust particle rattle in unison.

Sometimes they're right next to me and i toss my drink through their open window.....

Kidding but i have thought about it.

Wouldn't be nice if we could buy sonic weapons and point one at the offending car? Take some of this jack wad :#

pitdogg2. At least on this issue we are on the same page. I really can't describe how much I hate those cars, or actually the occupants. On the other hand, I have to admit that, and other noise, seems to have gotten better the last few years.

Ken i have no problem with great sound systems in vehicles. But if it were mine i would turn it down while sitting next to folks at stop lights. If i want to abuse my ears fine, but i do not feel i have a right to abuse others in an environment to which they can't get away from it. Some of the low bass wave are 20-30 feet long if not longer i can't possibly see how the car occupant is remotely hearing the same wave.
It is a little thing most no longer have for others
