Why are "pick" and "choose" synonomous there but different in English?

This place has always been more than just a forum for me. On multiple occasions some have clearly voiced that it was too personal (usually new people) and we had to step in to advise them that's how it is here. I always tell people in person when they have questions about speakers that this is the place to start. That is regardless of their brand preference since a large majority of users don't even use Polk anymore but stay for the community. That speaks volumes (literally). In other forums it's like tumbleweeds roll around, but they also are usually very biased onto the brand that's there. You'd think that'd be the case here, but it's not. It's about knowledge and everyone's willingness to pool their experiences with all products to help anyone who may stumble in.

When people get sick, at the very least we chime in. When people's pets, or heaven forbid the people themselves die - we chime in. I've always found that the case here. I may not come in every day - but I always return home.

@Jstas Great OP, Well thought out, well written and needed to be said!

My little story, A couple years ago I was in the VA for a couple weeks when I got home I found that my water had burst and been that way for days, Needless to say a lot stuff got ruined and I had to move (Being in a wheelchair moving is not an easy thing to do). I posted the facts on the forum and to my surprise I got a PM from a still active member who lives a couple Hundred miles south of me offered to drive up to help me move!

Let me ask what other forum has members like that. To all you newbes THIS PLACE IS SPECIAL and if you don't or are unwilling to get it feel free to move on. Quit whining and grow a pair.

Warning a bit of a sidetrack:

@DarqueKnight You ARE the the "Alice's Restaurant" of Club Polk complete with "twenty-seven 8 x 10 colored Glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of Each one explainin' what each one was," - I mean that in a good way. BTW: I'm working on something you may be interested in, need to get more info, will PM you when I get it figured out.

@F1nut - Short, Sweet (Well sometimes), Honest and to the point. Calls it like he see's it. Oh BTW: Carver Sucks.:smiley: JBYB.

@Toolfan66 - That makes 3, Hopefully things start to get better for you and yours, Best wishes.

To all you so called old timers that have or have not helped me out over the years I say thank you and Please, Please stick around there is still a lot I can learn from you.

Careful about the Canada stuff, Our "Fearless Leader" may read this and decide we need to nuke Canada along with of North Korea.

And most importantly to @westmassguy thanks and welcome back but take it easy and remember your health is more important than anything else so take it easy.

Hear Hear Tony, "gimpod, the man himself" has quite the legacy. The boards and all the info he's put together over the years....WHY...just because it's helpful to others

Doesnt matter if your an "Ole Timer" or not if it disappears...
    We will all "DISAPPEAR TOGETHER"!

That's true but if Club Polk has to stoop to the lowest common denominator then it should disappear as by then it will at best be like any other forum or worse useless. Club Polk should be better than other audio forums. JMO
