PSW110

I have a PSW110 subwoofer attached to my Mitsubishi TV. The subwoofer has recently started making thumping sounds (about every second) and and there was one loud screech. It was received as a promotional item when I purchased the TV in December 2010. As such, I'm sure it's beyond the warranty period, but I'm wondering if you can be of any help. Or is it time to discard and purchase a new one? Is this something that could be repaired or has it reached its useful life? Thank you so much. I'm very much a novice so really appreciate your help.

    Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood the sub's bass amplifier would need repairing or replacing. The next step is to contact Polk's CS department at: 1-800-377-7655 select option 1 when prompted. They can help determine the best approach to getting the sub back as new.
