A couple of quick pics. I initially tried the "soft feet" but switched to the spikes to tighten bass a bit and get a little more height. Spikes put the speakers at 42" overall height. I have them 20" from the back wall, there's at least 3ft from either side. About 9.5ft apart, 10ft from the listening spot. It still amazes me how these little 5 1/4" woofers can gin up this much clean bass, and do it at crazy output levels.

At 2:23 pm Az time yesterday, the "Enter Sandman" torture test was administered and passed with ease. LOL

More impressions later;

Thanks, it doesn't show in the pic, but the left wall is basically 3 big windows in succession--and we have the new curtains up.

...oh and for the furniture "fussy" what PSB calls "dark cherry" looks more like Rosenut; which is fine by me--I like Rosenut--but it's a redder (is that a word?) finish in comparison to dark cherry, which usually has more of a brownish tone. Note my rack is Cherry, and the PSB's are noticeably darker and red-der in tint.

Thank you. Those Indian watercolors were left to us by the previous owner of the house we sold in Hereford. They were "hidden" in the master bedroom of the other house, and I thought we needed to bring them out where they can be appreciated.

Those look really nice. Couple of people in the office have those, but I've not hear them. I'm wondering how they compare to the 705s. Any insight would be good. Enjoy the new hardware.

Haven't heard the 705, so I couldn't make the comparison. I will make some comparisons with previous speakers I have owned when I do a full review in a few weeks.

Thanks man. She's getting there---I'm planning the shop build now with a sub contractor. It won't be nearly the mancave I had in Hereford (2500 sqft), but a 16 x 24 garage style shop. About 1/3 of which will be for storage. It gives me plenty of room for a small shop for the little bit of piddling I do.

Bev is funny, she said "you know, I didn't say anything before because I know you love your hobby; but I'm so happy that ugly sub woofer is going..." LOL

A few weeks ?? Man, we need reviews like 10 minutes after they were delivered. :)

Anyway, they look nice....you diggin' that floorstander sound again ? I'm a believer in the "no replacement for displacement" theory, no matter how many subwoofers you have.

Ditched my subs long time ago and feel no need to ever go back. That's a good chunk of change to put into upgrading the speakers. Looking forward to the review....

The Harbeth's, while not tall, are pretty wide. When the PSB's arrived I thought they looked freakishly "tiny". Now that they've been in place for a few days, they look more normal to me. Strange. They are as tall as my Energy C-9's were--but they're more slender.

Well, in Harbeth's defense, they still rule in the ultimate treble reproduction category; though the PSB's, of all of the speakers I have owned, come the closest to the Harbeth's performance in that regard.

You should adopt, getting new speakers leaves used ones without a home:

Every Harbeth deserves a loving home.

A couple of nitpicks on the T2 up front:

    1. A $3500 speaker should have better/more elegant feet.
    2. Not crazy about metal grilles, although they are very nicely made and have fabric stretched across the front.

On the + side, the finish is gorgeous.
