Original mw6500 vs. mw6503

I'm wondering if anyone can comment on the sound of the original mw6500 drivers vs. the mw6503 drop in replacements. Are they pretty much identical? Are people happy w/ the 6503's? Thanks

    Upgraded my Monitor 7Bs with a few years ago with the 6503s. The sound had a very slight change to a more forward presentation. That would be VERY slight and I actually preferred it. I have owned these since new in '78. Also upgraded the crossovers slightly later with mills and sonicaps. They now reside in my storage closet more than being used but I have no regrets with the driver change.
