Parasound 2250 or 2250v.2? Would it be safe to assume that either of these models would be good for selecting between 2 different front sets of speakers so a lazy person like myself does not have to get up and swap speaker cables around?

Just curious because the actual speaker selector boxes for sale like, adcom, niles etc, seem to have a wattage limit of 100 or so watts. I have seen this statement in past posts here searching on the forum. Also I am using all MIT speaker cables so either spade or banana only.

Any other options, so I can continue to be lazy?

any amp with selectable A and B speakers will work fine as long as you are using 2 sets of speakers..

hooking speakers wires from both the A and the B outputs to the same speaker might be a very bad idea if my memory serves me correctly.. so if you are trying to A/B the sound of different speaker wires using the same speakers.. that would be a no go if you only have one set of speakers..

not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish exactly

i think selectable speaker boxes are mainly for use with several different sets of speakers. or so you can use 2 amps on one set of speakers.

Thanks @dannylightning I was not sure if the A-B buttons on the amp were for another zone (room) or if they can be used for two sets of front speakers being used separately, like a speaker selector switch. I never owned one so I was curious & trying to solve a problem over here.

Which has been solved earlier this morning.
