Funny, I watch some housing shows and I hear people say stuff like..."I want to live closer to work, can't do a 20-25 minute commute. "

20-25 minutes you can't do ? I just laugh at the babies.

but they'll drive a hour away to save 12 bucks on a toaster. I don't get it...

ROTFLOL! You MA drivers are killing me, it's so true! My commute can sometimes be just as bad, and I take public transportation.

It's about 11 miles from Quincy to Brookline. On good days, I will leave my house at 6:20 and get to work at 7:30. On bad days, I'll be getting in at 7:45 or later.

Last week, I left work at 4:30 and didn't get home until 7:30! :o

I never know when I'm going to end up on the commute from hell!

When i was working at the old Naval Air Base in Weymouth 6 years ago, i had a 68 mile commute, door to door. Getting in was never a problem because i was leaving my house at 430am. Going home was the worst. On a good day, 2hrs. On a Friday, 3.5!

Your area is a traffic cluster #$%^ but not as bad as coming home from the north shore (Revere/Lynn). Yuck!

    I hate this states traffic....

Fortunately, i'm at the office today which means i have a quaint 40 minute commute through the woods to get home. All back roads where i can run over a million squirrels. They're all male because i can hear their nuts crack...
Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

2200 miles, 5.5 hours via jet airplane for me. (well, that's only every three weeks) Seriously, in DC i had a 34 mile commute, here in LA, I made sure I only have a 4 mile commute. It's heaven to go from an hour and a half of traffic to 20 minutes. Literally life changing.
