Great info here about some gear to run with the LSiM series, particularly the 703. There is an ulterior motive to this as well which you'll figure out in about a week, but I also post it so that you guys who just purchased the LSiM's during the 50% off sale can have a little something to consider if/when you plan to upgrade the electronics behind those beautiful new speakers.

Thanks indeed. This my first go around with new Polk in years. I think a long while ago I saw Polk do a 50% sale on LSiM and I passed on it. This time I joined the forum dove in.

I'm still considering if my MA5200 is enough. It certainly created a lot of slam at 60% volume which I can't tolerate it for too long. Sweet spot is between 45 and 53.

Intrigued what other pairings folks are using.

Nope. The Plinius was/is a great piece that I'd have in my rig anytime, but it has a new home and I hope it's being enjoyed as much as I enjoyed having it in my system.

I'm selling my Menuetto, but I'm not listing it until I hear back from a forum member to whom I offered dibs. Also, I'm going to be out of pocket for the next week so I won't be checking the forum.

The 703 and Menuetto pairing is still the best I've heard either of those products sound. Match made by the audio gods imho.

True. And the price of admission in incredibly reasonable if you get the 703 at 1/2 off or more. You're talking less than $1500 for a very, very sweet sounding rig.
