How far would you drive for smokin deal on LsI9

I have the opportunity to snag a mint pair of LSI9 and and LSIC for $300. It's a 5hr round trip. I have never heard them but all the ranting about them on here makes me itch to hop in my car tomorrow and grab them. Is it too far for that deal?

In my gas guzzler it would cost me 200 bucks in travel. What do you drive?

    I drove 10 hours round trip for a $1000 LSi25/LSiC/LSiFX package and 6 hours round trip for a $1000 LSi15x4/LSiC package.

    Well worth the trip IMHO.

In a heartbeat, what's 5 hours, and don't even count the gas spent or lunch and dinner it's all part of the Journey your spending 300 and getting a hella deal that's not or probably never will be available in your neck of the woods. I have driven to Chicago, and back for a real nice pair of A9's the wife went with great time.

I have driven to Des Moines, and the Minneapolis area for deals it was a good time every time ,the wife has gone every time it's a road trip and dinner and a place she might want to stop at. If you don't count the cost of the Journey you will have a smile on your face there and back.

Worth it for sure. For some reason I read 5 hours each way. 60 bucks is peanuts. I drove 7 hours round trip for a minty pair of lsi25's on a weekday, after work. I was smitten with my Purchase.

Well I think you all have me convinced to do it. The only problem is I really don't need them or even have anywhere to put them. Already have two systems. Might be fun to play around swapping them in for awhile here and there though.

The best thing about this hobby is buying things we don't need, have space for, or have use for. I'm a breath away from starting a third system. But it's summer, time to dump money into cars.

Mine were from Milwaukee, and my father made the initial purchase. I drove a 4 1/2 hour round trip to pick up my LsI9, for $250. Though far from mint, that was fine, as I was also looking for a project. And, we met at a delicious small town Wisconsin brewery to do the pick up.
    I love these speakers.

Well it turns out it's Mother's Day today so it's not gonna be a good idea for me to set out for a 5hr road trip lol. So I'm going to send the money to the lady selling them and pick them up when I get the chance. Kinda risky for sure but I think it's worth taking

Well I decided to pass on these. Call me crazy but I just got to thinking that my speakers in both rigs are a step up from the LSI and as much as I always wanted to hear the 9s because of all the hype on this forum about them, I just don't ever see putting together a third system. Plus I have heard that you should pair them with an amp that's a little on the brighter side as to match with their warm sound and my amp isn't bright and I don't feel like buying another amp just to play with some spare speakers

Monitor audio Gold GS60 with the matching centre GSLR. Revolver Audio Music 5 for two channel rig. Neither would I replace with the 9s but I sure would love to hear them! You guys have me rethinking me decision! Maybe if I grabbed them I could sell the lsic and just keep the 9s for a once in awhile for fun type of situation

But still I don't know if my amp would pair well, it's fairly neutral bordering on slightly warm. PS Audio 200c

So if $300.00 is a Smokin deal on Lsi9's what do you guys think is Smokin for Lsi15's?
and what is an average price on a set in very good condition?
