Looking for a program to transfer text messages, phone contacts, etc

Does anyone know of a free Windows based software program that will transfer texts, phone contacts, etc from a Galaxy S4 to a Galaxy S5?

    Have you tried the Samsung Smart Switch app? That's what I used the last two times and it worked great. Phone to phone, just hook em up;

    Thanks, I'll give that a try, however, I dropped the S4 on the floor and it's really screwed up. Only the upper portion of the display is visible and the phone is opening up all kinds of apps on it's own. I'm buying an S5 today and hopefully I'll be able to do the transfer.

    I dont know about Android, but on my windows phone, I can hop phone to phone with a cloud back up and within thirty minutesit will sync my apps, start screen layout, contacts, text messages, call history, everything. Iy is literally like I never changed phones...

    I would assume Android has a similar function available

    Some you can transfer from phone to sd card then transfer back to new phone.
