Where did the color go?

Not a huge deal, but I noticed my signature lost its color. It's black now instead of being purple and dark red.

I've noticed other people's sigs have lost their color too.

What's up Vanilla? I didn't change anything and my sig still has Vbulletin codes for the color.

Anyone else notice this

I let Ken know over the weekend. He was going to contact Vanilla today. There's also a problem with the emojies.

My signature is not only blue but it's not centered as I had set it to be either. Vanilla is NOT a user friendly format IMO. Why they decided to switch is beyond me...

I still cannot see italics in a post using Chrome on either of my two regular laptops. Long ago, in a simpler time in Vanilla-space, I could. Then I couldn't -- and I still can't.

I can see them if I use the Microsoft browser -- what's it called now? Edge? Abyss? Cliff? whatever...

As long as we're b!ƫching about Vanilla... ;)
I know you wanted to see graphic evidence (not for the squeamish!) of my italics woes. :)

    Top panel: MS Edge
    Bottom panel: Google Chrome

(yeah, I didn't log into the forum from Edge, but the visibility of italics here is independent of being logged in. Honest.)
I have two differenet laptops (with two different, independent installations of Win10 and Chrome) that do the same thing.
    Riddle me that. :p

^^^^ I saw they when I was a kid, the Four Fends!

I thought this thread was going to be about an acid trip. :o

    the Four Fends...
If the interwebs had more bandwidth, y'all could see Marky shaking his head and chuckling (not to mention writing about himself using the third person).

Yeah, I wondered about the thread title too -- I thought it had something to do with soundbars or something, or maybe watching The Wizard of Oz backwards. Which, come to think of it, sounds like something one might do whilst tripping -- perhaps listening to The Dark Side of the Moon contemporaneously.

    But I digress.

In the spirit of the Four Fends, I just wanted to also mention Fitz and the Tantrums. Seems somehow apropos.

    OK, I'm finished now ;)

    Say -- I have a question:

Is I realize that the word emoji is a borrowed word (from the Japanese, I presume). But, doesn't it feel like a plural noun? You know, one emojum, two emoji...?

The explanation I received from Vanilla was that it was a fluke that there were color choices to begin with. This wasn't an original design option that Polk chose, but was somehow incorrectly incorporated. The actual design signature color choices should have not been available from the beginning. So what you have now is correct. I know this isn't the explanation you would have preferred, sorry.

Emojum kind of sounds like a laxative to me.

OH it's getting better. Man how did we get so lucky to be able to make bold and italicized letters then?
We can have any color we want as long as its black or white.

Thanks Ken. It is what it is, and now we know. Not preferred, but appreciate you taking the time to explain. It just made things "pop" a little better. Not the end of the world.
