In that case, unplug the AC power cord and remove the screws that go around the circumference of the amplifier's input plate. Then use a putty knife to loosen the input plate from the cabinet and pull the complete amplifier away from the cabinet. You'll find a black wire and a red wire that go from the amplifier to the woofer, follow these wires to the woofer and pull the faston connectors off of the woofer's terminals. There might also be wires that lead to a IR receiver, if so remove them from the amplifier. Package up the complete amplifier assembly and send it to: Polk Service, One Viper Way, Vista, CA. 92081. Include a note and give them your address, email address, telephone number and if you've owned the sub less than three years and are the original owner a copy of the sales receipt. Polk will determine the cause of the problem and contact you accordingly.
    Regards, Ken
