Has anyone tried iFi Audio iSilencer 3.0 - USB Noise Filter by IFI?

I was thinking about an AudioQuest - Jitterbug USB Filter and saw this. Something to try along with my New USB cable

Audioquest basically copied the original design when they made the jitter bug. I haven't heard this one, but they do change the sound. Personally, I'm more of an advocate of using that extra money to get a better cable instead. I think the gains are more profound on that front than what these dongles bring.

Ok thanks, I go for the cable. What HDD and cable do you use?

    I don't use an external for music. I have a Starlight 7 and a Platinum Starlight 7.

So what is your source? Bare with me, I am trying to learn. Everyone says that I will never learn but that won't stop me from beating my head against a brick wall....

Mostly tidal right now. If I do local, I stream from computers on my network. My best advice would be to hook that external up to a computer or your router and stream instead of a physical connection.

Really? I am surprised to hear that. I was thinking that there would be a lot of noise from the pc

I'm not saying hook the computer to the rig. Use it as a storage device and stream from the computer using upnp etc.

I have heard for instance that my P5 doesn't have and display because it would introduce more noise into the signal. I figured there was a lot more of that possibility with a computer. Anyway I have been using the HDD instead of DNLA for a long time because the SQ with the Oppo is so much better from the HDD than the PC. Thus my quest for a decent USB cable.
