How much of an upgrade would it be over a PSW 505? What is comparable in same price range?

    I would think it would be more than adequate for stereo, those DSW subs perform very well for their size.
    For comparison, SVS has a B-stock SB1000 for about the same price, though I like that the Polk has a remote and PRO Optimizer.
    So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

    For music a sealed sub is always better as they have quicker, tighter bass response.

    On the other side both of my HSU subs are down firing ported subs that do very well with my 70's-80' rock music.
    When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
