Polk - Rear Speakers Options

Options
This is my first posting and I'm hoping to get some feedback. My current set up is:

Fronts: Rti A3
Center: Csi A6
Back: Rti4

Our living room is not all that big so I'm finding that the rear speakers size to be a bit too big (actual depth of the speaker that protrudes from the wall). I've had someone suggest using the OWM5's for rears instead.

Has anyone owned/heard these? Thoughts on if these would be a good option?

Thanks in advance!

How big is your room? In smaller rooms it is sometimes better to go with 5.x rather than squeezing 2 more speakers into the mix. Less is better in some applications.

The way i read it is that he wants to stay at 5.1 but with slimmer surrounds. Is that right?

Thanks for the comments thus far. @rooftop59 that is correct. Current set up is 5.1 (i didn't list my sub) and wanting to stay with 5.1. Just looking for rear speak options that are not as big (deep) as Rti4.

I have only heard the OWM3s briefly in best buy years ago, and of course we know those demos aren't high quality. But for what its worth i was NOT impressed. They would be a big step backwards from the rti4s.

Can you go in wall or in ceiling? That's what all my surrounds are in both my living room and master bedroom. Sound great (especially in the smaller bedroom). If you can't swing that, I would either suggest the new S10s (they are pretty small) or going to something from a different brand. Surrounds really don't need to match IMHO, not like the mains and the center. I have a pair of def tech pro monitor 800s that are excellent and sound much bigger than they are that would be much smaller than what you have. I even have the mounting brackets for them. If you are interested let me know and I will PM you.

Could look at low profile on-wall speakers. Martin Logan and KEF both make them.
