Nice work, but might be overkill. Just try it with the center two panels and see how it sounds.

Fantastic job. *I* never would have attempted such a tight grouping since any errors are easily apparent. I think that's what makes your install look so good. Well done.

Re the tight tile look, it was not as bad as I thought, once you precisely mark the hook drill coordinates, I just used painters tape that was 1" wide, and stuck 2 of them next to each other to make sure the next panel was 2" from the adjacent one. But I agree, it was a pain to get it all centered and lined up right.

Re the Pioneer speakers... hahaha... funny you mention that.... I was this || close to buying those Pioneer speakers.

    Hi Dennis,

I would have to check if I have a dB drop. The ceiling is grey... I really like the wire idea from above...

Hahah... don't worry, I didnt get the TAD Ref 1.

I was pretty close, but I walked away in the end. My room is just not big enough to accommodate such a beast.

Also, it was kind of expensive.

What if he got some Sony speakers? LOL! However, I'm not sure who would pay $27,000 for Sony speakers? I guess the same guy interested in the $29K Pioneer / TAD speakers?

Great set up and I'll bet your research and time have paid off big time. My listening space doubles as a recording studio so I can't put any holes through the two layers of drywall. I used these with some "L" brackets and it also worked. Yours looks way better though!

    Nice work, Joey.

In the future, instead of using regular toggle bolts consider using "Togglers".
They're a LOT easier to install and actually stronger. They also make for a smaller ceiling hole.

    qwhz5cr9sk9b.jpg

They're available at your big box hardware stores and Amazon.

I haven't seen these toggles before...seems like they don't require as big a drill bit as the ones I have used in the past.
