Thank you everybody that steered me to get a Marantz over Onkyo.

I now have my refurb SR5010 dialed in nice. I listened to my remastered Rush 2112 CD today in my Sony DVP-NS3100ES player and my Sony ES never sounded so good. My RTi8 are no longer harsh on that CD. Water sound on 2112 Overture was just perfect. This is a great test CD goes from calm to harsh to rockin and back all over the place, I could not take it past -15db in my Sony but the Marantz was clean all the way @ -10db. There was no fatigue what so ever in the sound.

I then dropped in my Scorpions Moment of Glory SACD and oh my I didn't want to get up. My Sony 5700ES receiver was great on music and never thought it could be beat, well it has.

I still have a lot of fun testing to do

For Movies the Marantz is just as good if not better than the Onkyo. Sony 5700ES was not the greatest in the HT department.

All my wood projects are done and complete, time for some movies :)

    Marantz make some nice stuff, and all of it sounds good. I have a couple pieces floating around my place for good reason. It's good stuff!

    watched 3 movies yesterday ( I know couch potato) War Dogs was great Magnificent 7 just awesome and Warcraft, ok flick but good Atmos sound. That SR5010 is a little more than Amazing.
