I don't know much about speaker cable, but those look nice! I think 16 feet too long for me though :( One speaker is 2 ft from amp and the other is about 5 feet from it. I think there would be too much slack in the wire...not to mention I am North of the border!

    Hmmm... hold that thought

Yep - I've got a 12' chunk, no ends. Cut that up anyway you want.

Let's figure out what shipping would be...

Monoprice 10 or 12 guage with banana plugs...I know some of you are cringing and others would say it is fine...I am just refering to looks! Of course right now the centre channel has matching speaker cable too! It might feel left out if I only change left and right wires.

For this little bit and what you're looking for just buy it outright from a standard vendor and order what you need. Then it all matches.

Did you make these or were they prefabbed? They look nice and clean.

Man, I wish these were for sale about 3 weeks ago. I just bought beldens from bluejeanscable and re-did my wiring, I could have used these for LCR. Good price for 16 footers. GLWS.

What? They not works of art?!!! :p
Would it be detrimental running these lengths if I don't need the full 16'?
I will PM you to see how much it would be shipped.

Would these be alright with lsim705 and parasound hca1200ii?

I use the Canare 4s11 wired in the same configuration with my 705s. These are a smaller gauge, but at that distance can't be worse than what you are currently running.

Depends on who you talk to. There is some chatter about inductance if you coil this up. I'll not comment on that... If you merely lay this on the floor in an "S" pattern or similar you'll avoid the conversations with those that don't want you to coil it up.

  • ALL212, help me out here. I never saw this kind of terminating end. What kind of receptacle takes these ends ? Why not a standard pin, banana, spade lug or anything else ? For instance I have 12gu. BJC Belden white jacketed w/ double set screw Nakamichi stubby banana plugs. Just asking....

I was thinking of hiding some of the excess under my entertainment rack....or heaven forbid, I might chop the wire into halves

Lew they look like crimp sleeve ends that you could put into banana plugs and tighten down the BP screws into.

    see here.

^ Exactly. They are crimp sleeves which are designed to be used with terminations that have set screws to secure the connection.

Yessirs! ViaBlue terminations. You then purchase (or beg from me so I check my stock) either banana, spade or those braided wire things. Two set screws and done. If someone is interested in the terminations let me know. I'd guess I'd add $5 or so per termination (I think they go for a bit under $10 new). I have some 'naners for sure, maybe some braided wire ends (for the amps that have the little spring clips or screw down speaker connections). I have the "S" series, not the "6S" series.

  • I got it. At 1st I was questioning why do an extra step and not just slide the bare wire into the nana, but here I'm guessing there is way better contact all around then just **** down said bare wire. Well alright just learned another thing here.... Thanks
Also w/ me 16' is way to much where 1 run is literally almost kissing the amp.

Ask BJC. Likely they'll terminate them w/their sonic welding etc though if it were me they're a little thin for full range - net gauge 14. If not sold I'd scarf them to wire my tweeters upon completion of bi-amping mods
