psw505 was perfect. now hissing/not working

I was really impressed with my PSW505 12 in sub. fantastic for movies and music. now it just makes a bad schirck/hiss sound. is there a reasonable fix?

    Welcome to Polk's forum. The best place for help would be Polk's CS department at: 1-800-377-7655 (select option 1), have your unit's serial number and place and date of purchase handy when you call.
