Monitor 5JR TL w/ sonicaps and mills

I helped a friend upgrade these a year or so ago but he got the SDA bug and they ended up being mine after a series of confusing audio trades. Anyway, they have new RDO198's in them, upgraded crossovers with sonicaps (custom ordered the proper 13.5uf) mills resistors and upgraded binding posts. The crossover was updated to allow for the use of the RDO-198 tweeter so these would be consididered "TL'd". Hurricane nuts were added to firmly mount the drivers and driver magnets were secured with polygrab to prevent magnet shift. These are now broken in and sound very transparent, with surprisingly deep bass for their small size. They have pinpoint accurate imaging, and while they don't have the soundstage of the SDAs they are no slouch. These would be perfectly at home in a small two channel setup, a small fast sub would help fill in the bass for a full range system.
I'm not sure what they're worth, I figure somewhere around $300 as more than that was spent with the cost of the speakers plus parts not taking into account the time spent doing the upgrades. If I'm way off on this number let me know and I'll be happy to discuss. Located in Iowa City Iowa and local pickup is preferred. I'll get some photos posted shortly.
Asking $300 for the pair

Happy to include some stands I've had kicking around for a while in the deal also. They appear to be solid oak and are a pretty close match to the speaker's color and are quite heavy. Stand height is around 25 inches.

I'm guessing the price is too high. That's why no takers.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. That is a good guess h9. SDA 1C's sold for $325 on eBay last Friday."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Harry / Marietta GA

That's way too cheap for 1C's.Political Correctness'.........defined

Wish someone would give me $325 for my 1Cs. I'm only asking $300, and have people trying for less.

Not sure what the right price is for those with the work you've done, only you know.
I do know when I pop mine back in a rotation, those that visit, always say how good they sound for such a small set of speakers and they are all original.
Not gonna sell my set anytime soon.
