The same Charlie Sexton that in the 80's had a hit with Beat so lonely?

Charlie Sexton is Bob Dylan's current guitar player. Was in perhaps Dylan's best band ever with Larry Campbell in the very early 90's, left and returned. Produced Lucinda Williams' Essence.

Now we're talkin' A lot of great blues rock guitarists mentioned here. I am huge Trower, Gibbons, and SRV fan, but I highly encourage you check out some of the legends. Most all of these guys begged, borrowed and stole from guys like The 3 Kings (Albert, Freddie, BB), Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson, etc. Man o man, it just doesn't get much better than these dudes.

I am way late to this party -- but the OP might like this rekkid...

    https://youtu.be/YSBdGA584E4

The late Luther Allison's version of "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is every bit as superb, in its own way, as the Stones' original on Let it Bleed.

disclaimer: "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is (I think) my favorite-ist of all-ist Stone Rollers' song.

I'll go through them all more in depth later tonight but real quick listens, Kenny Wayne Sheperd and Jonny Lang grabbed me right away.

I'm not 100% sure about Jonny Lang though. Lie to Me sounded great, but not really digging this:
