    The first gen 2s are the least desirable since they have 2 tweeters and 3 mids. The second gen 2Bs are more desirable as they have a simpler crossover and longer upgrade path. Those in the ad look to possibly be 2Bs.

    I would ask the seller if the interconnet cable is blade blade or pin blade. If blade blade there is an odds on chance they are 2A's making the crossover refresh much more expensive. Some early 2B studios used the blade blade interconnecting cable socket as well so no way to know for certain without seeing the crossovers.

    2A's are also lower impedance than the 2B's so can be a tougher amplifier load.

    The label on the back has a "B" sticker on the corner just like my 2Bs do. Does that confirm they are 2Bs?

    Good luck on getting these man.

    I think 2B studios is the correct designation, but doesn't even matter. For $125 that's a sweet deal and they look to be in good shape. A quick $100 tweeter swap to get things sounding better and then a little time and money on the big upgrades down the road and you might be set for a long time.

    Check for frozen drivers if you get the chance to pick them up. If anything isn't right then you should be able to get them for even less.

    Yep! Just got done fixing up my RTA11TLs for my HT system. I would LOVE to replace my monitor 5s with these. Unfortunately work is now going second by second because I am checking my phone every two seconds.

    That SDA itch needs to be scratched!

    2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

    Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

    The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
