Adding an amp to my reciever

I have a pioneer SC 1228 receiver with two rtia7s for my front speakers. I feel like the receiver does not have enough power to properly run them. I am thinking about getting a stereo amplifier to go through my preouts. Just wondering derived g if anyone knows if I should be ok with what I have or if the additional power would be beneficial

    If your system is 2 channel only using an AVR as the pre amp isn't the best idea. A dedicated 2 channel pre amp will have better sound. Anyway. Chumlie suggested a Parasound power amp, which is a good suggestion. It's on the warmer side and will help tame those tweeters a bit.

    Look for a used Parasound HCA 1200 OR 1500. Usually around 400 bucks. They make excellent first amps and sound great with RTI's, and.....won't break the bank.
