WIth winter here I have been seeing that so far the northeast and mid west have been getting some nice weather recently. As a frequent flyer and traveller. I am always needing to check the weather at my destinations and usually use Intellicast.com as a friend of mine who is a pilot/skydiver tuned me into some years ago... No BS adverts no political agenda.... just the weather and easy to search with forecasts and radar and frequent updates... works on everything...

I recently put my PWS (personal weather station) online

    http://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KFLCAPEC94

anybody else with a PWS link?

What's the weather like at your house today?

My wife is borderline weather-obsessed :-P When we moved up to NH, I got her a (I thought) fairly high-end weather station (including a dongle to track & trend data) but over the past three years the sensors have been slowly but surely dying. First the rain gauge defecated the bed, then the humidity sensor on the outside temperature/humidity sensor became psychotic. Nowadays, it usually reads 1%; sometimes it will, randomly, display what might well be the correct %RH, but then it showly but steadily drifts back down to 1%.

This is my long winded way of asking -- what kind of weather station do you have?

I have also heard/read that it's become fashionable to cobble weather stations together using Arduino or Raspberry Pi or whatever type of hard/software... I like the idea, but it's beyond my 1980s-era hard/software skills at this late date, I think :-P

Oh, weather here in NH is unseasonably warm; yesterday (Saturday) was superb. Sunny, still and warm (mid-50s). Still gets dark by 4:30 PM, though, so we can still tell it's December.

It's warmer in NY right now than in Southern Arizona! We were 24 degrees this morning (mind you, I'm 6 miles from Mexico) and it's only 37 right now, at 1:00pm MST. It is sunny and blue skies however. We did get some snow flurries yesterday--which isn't uncommon for this time of year at 4600ft elevation.
