I tried. I looked up on vintage images of Mcintosh, JBL, Altecs, and even Wharfdales and nothing even close. If 'Doc' M Hardy is awake he's pretty good at identifying speakers and will probably have some literature on them as well. I have seen that tweeter array before and now it's bothering me.

They don't seem very desirable if they're missing the original drivers. The mid in the audiomart link posted above reminds me of the 5" Phillips drivers used in the Dahlquist DQ10.

EDIT: Yes, Heathkit - ca. '77 give or take. I probably have a catalog with a better (bigger) blurb in it someplace.

Quite nice loudspeakers as I recall.

As to the DQ-10's driver complement (and not that I have ever been much of a fan of the DQ-10) -- generally the drivers used in it were pretty darned good, actually -- the one arguable exception (of course) being the Motorola piezo tweeter. That same tweeter, many of you will know, was also used by this guy called Polk in his first consumer loudspeaker product.

EDIT: The Polk Audio Model Nine...

Passed on the Heathkits, they wanted $500. They also had a pair of SDA-SRS's and some other equipment- but those items were not for sale.
