Sub Placement Measurements

Hey everyone. Have a question. When placing a sub in a room, besides the sub crawl, I'm also doing the odd partition measurement. When measuring distances, do you measure to the center of the driver or to the sides of the enclosure?
I ask because we just got some new furniture and have to move my sub. Thanks guys :)
My Setup: Denon AVR X3600h, Polk Signature S50 Fronts w/ S30 Center and S15 Rears, LG UBK90 4K Player, TCL 6-Series 65”4k TV

    Anyone use this method, or does everyone here use the sub crawl? I'm thinking that it makes more sense to measure from the center of the driver than the outer dimensions of the enclosure. Thoughts??

    I would do the crawl not familiar with the partition measurement fill me in.
