1. Do I use a single cable from the avr to the lfe input of the sub?
2. Do I set the phase on the sub (if applicable) to zero
3. Do I set the crossover to 80 through the sub?
4. Or set the crossover through the avr to 80 after running the Audyssey set?
Please help answer my questions. Sorry if there rather dumb, I'm a newbie to these things.

Yes you use a single cable from the AVR Sub pre-out to the Single RCA input on the sub. You can experiment with the phase switch. Choose the one that gives you more bass as this is the one that doesn't cause the sub to cancel the mains out. If you can't hear a difference leave it at zero. Set the crossover on the sub to the highest frequency possible (160hz) and use the crossover on the AVR.
