I had the aluminum discs laser cut, then I drilled the appropriate mounting holes. Then they were powder coated. Finished off with Speakon interconnects and Cardas binding posts. Douglas Connection supplied the DIY parts to build the speaker cables, interconnect cable and jumpers (cable, cable sleeving, cable splitters, spades, bananas, heat shrink tubing). More importantly Doug was only a phone call away to offer assembly advice and tips. Great guy and great company. http://www.douglasconnection.com/ I hope the pictures are attached- I'm having a hard time figuring how to manage attachments.

    Nice job!

FYI, Trey (VR3) sells brushed aluminum binding post plates pre-drilled for the SpeakOn and binding posts.

Very, very nice work! With new binding posts and new jumpers, I'm sure the improvement is not subtle. N'joy!

As F1 says, Trey has a very similar item. I recommend an Armacell seal around the perimeter.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Armacell has a number of product lines, what did you find that works the best?

Do you have a link? Seeing how nice those plates came out is making me want a pair now.

Looks like 1/8" thick is only option and what everyone is using, just wanted to make sure I purchased the right thing. Thank you.

The nice comments are appreciated. To address a couple of posts above (I don't know how to use the quote thingy)
Armacell/flex as linked above from Home Depot was used to seal the plates. (torqued down over several days to compress the foam)
I made 3 sets of plates- but the extra 2 are earmarked for other SDA projects. (pictures as they are finished)
    Thanks again

Nice job, Stogie! It sounds like there would be multiple interested parties (myself included) if you made a big run of these...

    Very nice work.

Maybe some etching or screen print for labeling, just in case anyone else ever needs to fool with the connections, would be a nice addition.
