Pair of RT55i's - Minty!

*First off, Larry has first shot at these.* I waiting to hear from him, and if he passes they'll go to the next person interested.

The speakers are near mint, with only a couple of minor blemishes. I'd rate them a very solid 8/10 on the Audiogon scale, and I could probably list them there at a 9/10. The buyer will not be disappointed in their condition. They are 100% functional, and sound excellent. As you can see in the pics, I was using 12 gauge wire as jumpers. I have the original ones that will be included.

I have the original box, and I am willing to ship at the buyer's expense. Mind you it won't be cheap, especially to the west coast. I'll get a shipping quote, or you can. Figure on a package that will weigh 75-80 lbs, and will be about 26" H x 24" W x 19" D after careful double boxing, shipped from 14845.

The price will be $125 plus shipping to the ConUS only. Postal MO/Certified Check Only.
If I know you, a personal check is ok. If a buyer lives within 100 miles of me, I'd meet halfway for a nominal fuel fee.

The pics don't do them justice, my current camera is not very good in low light situations (I dearly miss my Nikon).

**Again, Larry has first dibs on these speakers**

What you see in the right speaker is a reflection.

I'll just chime in to say that I have some RT55i's and they're one of my favorite Polk speakers. I like the "big bookshelf" form factor, and their performance is virtually identical to the RT800i towers. I actually think I like the 55's better. I don't know what the going rate is on these, but I think you'd have trouble finding something that outperforms them for double the price.

Regrettably I have to pass too. Apparently the new patio takes precedent over another pair of speakers!!!!! I disagreed but you see who won........

I have compared them. If you're using a sub or two, there is no difference. IMO, without subs, the 800i goes a tad lower. I actually replaced my 800i with 55i in my HT. A buddy of mine wanted the 800i for a 2 channel system I was putting together for him. The advantage of the smaller speakers is that I now have them sitting on top of my subs. I now have extra floor space and didn't need to get stands for the 55i. They are about the same height as the 88i when sitting on the subs.

Congrats to the buyer and seller. Great price on these also.
