So the question is......

Which bridge rectifier do I use? I am replacing all the capacitors and the bride rectifiers in my BAT VK-200 since one of the bridge rectifiers went out on the left channel. I decided to just replace all 4 in the amp. I have purchased and have the choice between these 3:

Choice #1) http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=DF04M-E3/45virtualkey61370000virtualkey625-DF04M-E3

Choice #2) http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=DF04Mvirtualkey51210000virtualkey512-DF04M

Choice #3) http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=DB104-BPvirtualkey54720000virtualkey833-DB104-BP

As you can see 2 of the 3 are 1.0A 400V, but the Fairchild rectifier is a 1.5A 400V rectifier. Which do you all suggest?

Thanks for the suggestions all.

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Looks like all the same physical demensions so I think I would go with the higher current Fairchild product. I doubt any of them would sound any different from one another.

That was my thinking as well. Use the higher current rating. Plus, Fairchild is an excellent semicinductor manufacturer.

    Anyone else have an opinion?

I always replace them with the Fairchild 1.5a/400v part. Don't over think it, your just going to have a little more wiggle room for surge, won't change the sound at all. What did you choose for the main P/S cap's?

I am putting the Nichicon "LS" series for the 10,000 uF 80V caps (equivalent to the original). I am replacing all the caps except the 1,000uF 10V caps with Nichicon. The 1,000uF 10V cap is a Panasonic since Mouser didn't have that value in a Nichicon cap.

The output caps are going to be replaced with Mudorf Silver/Gold/Oil .22uF 1,000V caps. I am expecting excellent reults with the recapping of the VK-200.
