    Danger Boy,

Just out of curiousity, how big is the dac unit? At first glance, there appears to be a giant finger/fingernail in the background.
    :)

    Wow, that is weird.

What IS that in the background?

it's a DAC for Ken & Barbies new home theater :p

it measures .5" x 1" and sounds real warm. :)

heck if I know what it is.. to me it looks like a pillow or somthing like that.. but i'm not sure.. email the seller and ask him.. curious minds want to know.

the real life CAL DAC is about 9" wide, 4" high, and 12" deep. FYI

these DAC's have been selling for between $350 and $425 usually. if you ever run into one for less on a buy it now.. snatch it up.. it was CAL's top of the line DAC in it's day.

    DB,

Thanks for the link. I've been looking into getting a DAC for my main rig as I'm enjoying a tube output cd player in my two channel rig now.

Are you still using the Mullards with your CAL? What kind of digital interconnect are you using between the transport and the DAC and did you find that the digital interconnects made as much difference as the analog interconnects between your DAC and pre?

I think you might have posted on this before... did find some stuff on a quick search but no recent updates on what you might have done lately.

    thx,
    Paul
