BMW has been doing film shorts that are really good. They are about 5 min. long. There are 5 films to date. A couple of the good ones are Star directed by Guy Ritchie and The Follow directed by Wong Kar-Wai.

    It really is neat. And great advertising. Look, in a world where we click channels to GET AWAY FROM ads, here we are surfing OVER TO VIEW these advertisments! Where else can you actually see one brand of car burn rubber and blow away another brand of car? How GREAT!

    IMHO, it's really ballsy and great of BMW to do this kind of stuff. Very anti-advertising. I wouldn't doubt that it is very successful.

    Just like me to be all philosophical about this kind of thing.
