Hello all,
My PSw 505 just quit working yesterday and I want to see if the fuse is the problem, but I can't find it. Can anyone direct me to where it is? I've attached a picture of my innards, thanks.

Welcome to Club Polk!
Isn't the fuse on the 505 accessible from the "outside"? A plastic flap under the power cord slot. Take a look back there and figure out how to pull out the flap.

I'm having the same problem. I have power, but no sound from the woofer. The 'flap' is hard plastic & is non negotiable.

Check your signal source first, then toggle the auto sense switch to the "on" position. The light on the amp should go green.

I see this thread is a few years old, but I have a problem with my Polk 505 sub. The green light comes on, but the speaker makes no kind of sound what-so-ever. Has anybody had a simioar problem they msnaged to fix without a trip to the repair shop?

They're not worth repairing.
Look for an SVS or HSU sub you'll be much happier.
